Personal Connection
Kaydie’s Tours of Provence specializes in intimate small group travel to the picturesque region of Provence in the South of France. Kaydie studied language education at a French university, married a Frenchman, and has spent the past 20 years summering in France with her husband and their two children.
Over the years, Kaydie has become acquainted with many of Provence’s artisans, painters, chefs, museum directors and café owners, and has scouted out the must-see sights, shops, cafés and restaurants throughout the region. Her fluency in French and her expertise in the area’s cuisine, history, customs and cultural attractions combine to offer a high quality tour at an exceptional value.
Tours are limited to no more than six people to maintain an intimate and personal connection with the locals. You’ll stay in a privately-owned French countryside home and visit sites that are unable to accommodate large tour groups. The small group size also enables you to custom design the tour around your interests and abilities.
Unforgettable June
The five-day, six-night tours are scheduled during the months of May and June, when the weather is cool enough for hiking, biking and touring, and warm enough to enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace with dinner or take a dip in the pool.
Everyone is welcome on the tour, from first-time travelers to seasoned pros, from solo travelers to couples to small groups of family and friends. Our tours are particularly well-suited for those who:

Kaydie Vistelle is a language education instructor and tour director based in her hometown of Gainesville, Florida. Kaydie earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing at the University of Florida in 1985, where she met her husband, Richard Vistelle. Richard had come to UF from his native France for his graduate studies. When he returned to France, she accompanied him. She lived in Reims, France for the next seven years, where she earned a Diplôme des Études Supérieur Françaises from the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardennes.
The Vistelles married and their two children were born in France, where Kaydie was immersed in French culture and customs. The Vistelles moved back to Florida with their two children in 1996, but have returned to France every summer to visit with family and friends.
Kaydie’s Tours of Provence began when her American family and friends asked her to share with them her wealth of knowledge about the French countryside and culture via small, organized tours. As word of her tours spread, Kaydie began offering them to the general pubic.
Kaydie’s outgoing personality, fluency in French, and her insider knowledge of Provence provide you with a unique cultural experience. Everywhere you go, you’ll be welcomed with the warmth and cordiality reserved for one of the locals.
Your home away from home during your stay in Provence is a 19th-century renovated manor house and vineyard nestled in an ancient village just outside of Avignon. The home has 5 bedrooms (a mix of single and double occupancy), three bathrooms, hot showers, a living room, dining room, a terrace overlooking the vineyards, and a swimming pool.
In the morning, you’ll enjoy a petit-dejeuner of fresh baked goods and café au lait from local patisseries. The evening meal is often served on the terrace.
Come live among the locals and enjoy all the comforts of a French country home.
